Wow, it has been a freaking long time since i last blogged. With only one week into HCI, i am already feeling more tired than i had ever felt in the 4 long yrs in Nanyang. JC life is really quite different from high school life, and i think i am rather glad tt it will only span 2 yrs, at least for now. Although the college lecturers keep promising a more liberal system from the very first day, actually they are more of a buch of control freaks than the Nanyang teachers. Getting into JC really made me realise how nice NYGH had been and how comfortable the environment was compared to now. NYGH teachers show a level of liberalism tt is meant to be emulated. They will understand if you turn up late for class after PE because you need to change and are feeling exhausted for obvious reasons. They will allow you to hand in late assignments to the pigeon hole, with the worst punishment being deducting half of the total score. And when you doze off during lessons, they will accept that you have had a late night and allow you to listen with your eyes closed.
Now, things have changed. All college lecturers demand 100% attention and absolute punctuality for all lessons. They show great displeasure if you request to go to the restroom before their lesson. You have to stand at the back of the class if you forget any tutorial. And the best act of kindness any tutor has shown to me now is to give a 1min break during lesson time. As Junning would have told you, you get scolded if you had paid attention during bio lecture and reacted to what the lecturer is saying.
I think i sort of miss life in Nanyang and 401. Starting sch at 830 every Monday, copying Physics wksheets during PCCG lesson every Friday, playing ard with junning and kaiyun during math lessons, breezing thru math wksheets without having to stone at the notes first. And suddenly, for a brisk moment, having to write chi compos every week doesnt seem to be the worst thing now. But of course, this is now the past and I shall look into the present and future, even if it doesnt look as appealing as it shld.
Alright, the tone in this entry may be a little extreme and perhaps i dun mean it fully. But i am in a foul mood now because i am really exhausted and the day stretches to 9pm tmr. 50% of my weekened gone just like tt......But what is driving me mad is tt this routine will continue for the next 2 yrs. CRAP.
