First day at HCI today. The science symposium was dry. Speeches and more speeches. I only listened to the key-note address by the Nobel laureate Sir Anthony Leggett. Enjoyed his wit like 'As everyone knows, public schools in the UK mean private schools.' Ehh, but unfortunately i sort of drifted away when he started on his quantum mechanics and helium 3. We slacked in the canteen for 1.5 hrs until it's time to head to the auditorium. No principal's address in the end, just the discipline master there. Ok, he left an impression although i dont rmb his name; no sleeping or eating during lectures, punctuality is to be observed, pay attention to the lecturers, and more importantly, no blowing of bubbles at all times. Anyone present in the audi this morning can tell u why.

Math lecture was not much of a surprise. Basically, everyone just switched to 'working mode' whenever they see a math tutorial and pounced at every example they see without any regard to the lecturer. Alright, everyone except me cos I cant rmb remainder theorem and decided to wait for the lecturer, Erm, to stay more involved in the lesson of course. It is mean to just leave the teacher speaking with no one listening like tt. An occasional glance his way would definitely be greatly appreciated. LOL

Chem was more enjoyable. The lecturer, Ms Wong i suppose, was quite humorous. Or hilarious at times, shall put down some of her light moments here. 'Ehh, don't you know this? You mean your Ms Tan didnt teach you this?' ; 'Stop complaining and say tt the canteen food is so lousy, the chairs are so hard, the boys are so ... [Sigh].' ; 'People, my fellow Romans, countrymen..'.

Oh, and for everyone's information, Serene, Shiyu and Swee Hoon has just formed the S Cube group. School is starting at 11am tmr. Superb time.
